Doula Jen

Jen is a DONA International-trained birth doula, an APPA-certified placenta encapsulation specialist, and a birth + newborn photographer serving families delivering in the Baton Rouge area. She began her journey as a birth photographer in 2010, and in 2013, she was inspired to pursue doula certification. She quickly fell in love with supporting families through this transformative time in their lives.
In 2014, Jen expanded her services by earning a rebozo certification and offering placenta encapsulation, as well as private and group childbirth education classes.
Looking ahead, she plans to integrate her extensive doula experience and academic background to provide even more comprehensive support for families—whether they are welcoming a child biologically or through adoption.
Jen remains committed to professional growth through continuing education, including in-person workshops, seminars, and webinars. She is also pursuing additional certifications in the coming year to further enhance the care she provides.
